happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to meeeeeeee, happy birthday to meeeeee.... *clap clap clap clap*
oh well, yes yes...another year older...but what the heck...it's the same...just like any other day...for me. don't know about how everyone else normally celebrate their birthday. some party the night through and get pissed drunk (and probably get laid) and some go on a vacation and god knows what else...
i don't know...but somehow the thoughts of celebrating birthdays for me personally doesn't mean anything, other than it's just the exact day that you were brought into this world (in my case, hatched).
really appreciate it for those of you who sms-ed or called to wish me. really do appreciate it. at least it makes me feel good that there are people out there who remembers who i am, what more my birthday. *salute* kept getting the same question in those sms and calls though..."what are you doing to celebrate your birthday?" simplest answer that i could come out with, "nothing, just another day...chilling at home" boring huh? well, i guess maybe i'm just a boring guy or whatever....hmm...could that be a reason that i'm still s-i-n-g-l-e? NNNOOOOOOOOOO....i hope that's not the reason....dammit!
but heck, here's the lowdown on what i actually did:
Sunday (22/10)
played paintball in the morning just to get in the mood for the upcoming World Cup Asia in december. initially thought of going back to malacca for dinner with family, but brother had a dinner to attend. so sunday's off and parents decided to make it on monday. ok..all cool with that, hence paintball.
went out for dinner with patrick, douglas, lui and theng. an impromptu one actually. just decided out of the blue for dinner. went for some chinese dinner with dishes in sri petaling. very fast indeed. everybody thought it was supposed to be dutch but i paid for dinner. everyone started wondering why...took them a while, then only the light blub lighted up that it was me birthday. hahahaha...good one huh? LOL!
after that, went to get some dvd at this place douglas recommended. got myself about 6 dvd. as we were leaving, me, patrick and douglas felt something was missing....coffee!! so off to starbucks we went, after dropping the other 2 back home. there were quite many people there. thought most would have gone back to their hometowns or somewhere for holiday since it's a long break. oh well, felt kinda restless without the notebook with me to surf. *NOTE TO SELF: "dammit! you need to get a life! there's more than life than just surfing on the net whenever there's a WiFi connection" *
went home after that without much thoughts that i'm going to turn 28 (yes yes...28) in like 2 hours time. switched on the telly just for the noise. not that i was watching what's going on. all lights were dimmed and zoned out on the couch...just as i was about to get into the zone, sms started to come in....sweet.... there i was, spent the next 30 mins or so replying sms. after that, i'm left in silence again. just too tired to do any more thinking. only thing i remembered was....i've just turned 28! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Monday (23/10)
woke up kinda late (can't remember the time) and started packing to make my way back to malacca. that was after i replied some sms that came in while i was sleeping. got stuff packed and made my way back. hit the highway with the thought it would be all clear...but alas! nope...traffic was heavy as soon as i reached seremban...oh heck...there are still people rushing back for raya. well, still managed to make it home around 4 or 5. arrived home and freshen up before heading out for dinner with parents, bro, sis-in-law and nephew. just a simple dinner. nothing extravagant. what's more important was the company that i had.
after dinner, headed out to meet up with old friends from school at some chinese cafe. sure irks the hell out of my ears to be listening to those singer wannabes. no, it's not some karaoke joint. it's one of those cafe like "halo". chatted for a while and they were nice enough to get me a cake. well, cut my first cake (not that i fancy cakes anyway) since i turned one year older. headed home after that, which was around 1 something already.
well, that was how my birthday went. nothing eventful. just another day......
p/s: sorry, but today's not my birthday. it was a week ago. can't seem to find the dang option to change the date of my posting. pardon the boringness of just words, will try to decorate it with pics soon. :-)

weekend...
it's friday! TGIF!! hmm...wait a minute....something's missing...don't know what the heck it is....think i'm still not used to the thoughts that i'm not officially working (ie. on the road) for the weekends....damn...i got to get used to this...been praying for this day to come for a long long time......
damn...it's going to be one hell of a challenge putting this record label thing together, as well as getting tracks recorded....what more when the artiste's underaged. *sigh*
going to drive back to malacca again tonight...technically speaking, saturday morning la..... attending friend's wedding....gosh...getting "summoned" ain't something fun at all....and this month itself, there are 2 for me to attend. why is it that weddings, especially chinese weddings, have to be so complex? what happened to the old days of the kenduri style dinner? hmm....i wonder wonder....
just remembered that it's the autumn festival (aka mooncake festival). still don't get or understand the makeup of this festival...so many versions....damn pening kepala....and then the supposedly tradition of a family get-together and having dinner together. oh heck...unfortunately, i'm chinese but not totally in-touch with my roots..... *shy*
oh well, with all the hoo haa of having dinner with family and stuff, got an invitation to douglas' place for dinner...YAY! home cooked food!! can't wait for that. better stop munching on peanuts before i really spoil my appetite.
oh well, i guess it's time to go....cheerios...

ZzZzZzZz....
well, here i am again on my neglected blog. well, i've got about 15 minutes before i head out for recording in fuse again. time to kill with hardly anything that i could do...*sigh*
been in the studio for the past 2 nights...this would be the third night in a row. well, that's the price to pay for being a label manager....i could have just not go for any of it...but me being me....i just had to be there.

recording was done on tuesday night. recording proper started around 11pm and went all the way to 1 something. it was a whole new breath for "mahakarya cinta" when it was recorded in the studio. ambience was set with little lighting. it was all about "feel". sure was DA BOMB! i must say that he really nailed it. well, have to leave the final product to the good hands of audi to surprise everyone.

recording on wednesday. started around 10pm even though informed him to be there around 9.30pm and he was there before that. audi audi audi....heck...can't blame him for being late. was up to his personal things. well, recording was done in about 2 hours as well. according to him and the songwriter, shah, he sounded waaaay much better, in fact, very good in studio than on tv. well, in my opinion, maybe i'm tone deaf or whatever, yes, to a certain sense i do agree with them. just that he's got a lot more to develop in the sense of his voice. but nevertheless, with the wonders of today's technology and music genius audi, i'm sure it'll turn out just as well.
hmm....guess it's about time for me to pack up and leave for the studio...hopefully the session with suki wouldn't take too long or her be too difficult to work with.
now's the decision....to get some food on the way or just hang on till the end of the session.... decisions decisions decisions.............AARRGGHHHH!!!
